Planted in 1969, these dry farmed vines perch at 1,700’ above the Sonoma Valley in volcanic loam. Destemmed and fermented with native yeast, then basket pressed to 15% new French oak barrels for 22 months of elevage. 8 barrels produced.

A whole range of floral, savory and earthy notes gives the Montecillo that trademark aromatic profile that is such a signature.
