Margaux with a Soul — Clos du Jaugueyron

Clos du Jaugueyron

Clos du Jaugueyron is one of the smallest estates in Margaux—and one of the most compelling.

Michel Théron farms just a few hectares biodynamically, crafting wines that feel alive: pure, elegant, and quietly powerful. These are Bordeaux wines with an unmistakable pulse—fermented naturally, aged without excess oak, and bottled with minimal intervention.

This is Left Bank Bordeaux with lift, clarity, and soul.

Here’s what’s in stock right now (very limited quantities):

🔸 Clos du Jaugueyron Margaux 2019 – $140

Layered, structured, and incredibly drinkable. Dark berries, graphite, violets. So poised, so clean.

🔸 Clos du Jaugueyron Margaux 2017 – $136

More savory and open-knit, with forest floor, dried herbs, and elegant grip. A beautiful expression of a cooler vintage.

🔸 Clos du Jaugueyron Nout Margaux 2016, 2018 & 2019

“Nout” is the early-drinking cuvée, but it still carries the complexity and precision that makes these wines so memorable.

2016 shows mature, leathery depth - $77

2018 is rich and floral - $87

2019 has energy and drive - $87

All are drinking beautifully now.

🔸 Clos du Jaugueyron Haut-Médoc 2020 – $53
If you want to see what biodynamic Bordeaux tastes like for $50, this is your move. Juicy, earthy, and absurdly good value.

Clos du Jaugueyron is proof that Bordeaux doesn’t need to be flashy or over-polished to be world-class. Just thoughtful farming and a light hand.
