The Chablis You’ll Wish You Bought by the Case

Last week I opened a bottle of Duplessis Vaillons 2019, and I’ll say this plainly: it was one of the greatest bottles of Chablis I’ve had in recent memory not named Tribut, Dauvissat, or Raveneau. Intensely mineral, with depth, texture, and a verve that makes you pause mid-sip and reconsider everything you thought you knew about Chardonnay.

Duplessis is a classic Chablis estate—organic, fiercely traditional, and quietly making wines that insiders have been scooping up for years while the rest of the world chases names that now cost triple.

We’ve got a handful of their premier cru bottlings still in stock, and they are drinking beautifully right now. These are the bottles you open barefoot on the patio, with the last Sungold tomatoes, a pile of clams, or just a salty wedge of cheese while you soak in the final golden evenings of summer.

They’re the perfect way to celebrate these last days of the season before we slide into fall.

P.S. If you know, you know. These won’t linger—stock up while you can.
