Domaine de Ferrand makes consistently delicious and elegant Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and the wines are joyful in their early years but really reach their peak after being forgotten for a while. The 2022 is a Grenache-led blend from old vines, showing ripe red berries, dried herbs, pepper, and subtle spice with fresh acidity and fine tannins. It is full-bodied and balanced, and will be truly gorgeous in a couple more years.
