The Caveau de Bacchus was created by Lucien Aviet in 1961, in the heart of the Jura in Montiny-lès-Assures. The small estate of 6 hectares is part of regional traditions as much for the grape varieties as for the winemaking. The wines in the Arbois appellation are known to lovers of the region who appreciate the quality of the cuvées and the character of the winegrowers of the estate.
Trousseau and savagnin make up the grape varieties of the estate, which produces 25,000 bottles each year. Lucien Aviet is today a figure in the entire Jura vineyard and his son is taking the same path.
