Maziere’s Carignan hails from the Corbières region of the Languedoc. These old vines are planted within the region’s craggy, limestone-laden cliffs and exposed to extreme temperatures throughout the day and night. The wine was vinified in a gravity-flow cellar with zero sulfur. Racy, leathery, and alive.
- Maziere is a two hectare property within the Corbières region of the Languedoc.
- The property was founded by Fabrice and Momoko, who ran a well known wine bar and shop called Les Zinszins du Vin in Besançon.
- Their two hectares of vines are composed of Grenache, Macabeu, Carignan, Syrah and some indigenous varieties.
- Fabrice calls himself an éleveur – someone who takes care of élevage, the process of raising the juice from beyond the fermentation process.
