Gustinella “Pomaro” Rosato 2024
The first commercial release of Pomaro — once a quiet experiment during Gustinella’s debut vintage, shared only among friends and family — now finally sees the light of day.
Sourced from a 60–70-year-old, pergola-trained Grenache vineyard in Bronte on the northern slopes of Mount Etna, this rosato captures the delicate side of Grenache in volcanic soil. Just 280 bottles were made.
Hand-harvested and gently pressed with minimal skin contact, the wine ferments spontaneously in stainless steel without temperature control. No fining, no filtration — only a touch of sulfur at bottling. Pomaro shows the same clarity and restraint that define Gustinella’s reds, yet here the focus shifts to lift and luminosity — a bright, saline reflection of Grenache seen through Etna’s lens.
