Maison A&S Bourgogne Aligoté 2022:
Tasting Notes
Pale straw with a keen green-tinge, this 2022 opens with bright green apple, lemon zest and fresh lime peel. On the palate it delivers lively acidity, a clean mid-palate of pear flesh and crushed chalk, and a succulent yet dry finish with a hint of white-flower blossom and mineral tension.
Why It’s Special
-
Though labelled a regional Bourgogne Aligoté, the fruit comes from carefully-farmed vines and the cellar work is minimalist—giving it clarity, freshness and noticeable depth.
-
Crafted by Maison A&S, a young Burgundy initiative rooted in precision and sustainable viticulture, this wine reflects modern ambition with terroir intimacy—so you’re getting Burgundian authenticity at a very smart value.
-
Perfect for your boutique customers searching for something different in white: vibrant, crisp, food-friendly and interesting—ideal for aperitifs, seafood, light salads or stone-grilled vegetables.
-
Ready to drink now and designed for freshness, yet the structural purity means it can hold well for a year or two if someone wants to cellar.
About the Producer
Maison A&S is the partnership of two young Burgundians, Pierre-Alexandre and Alexandre, who launched their project in 2018. They focus on sourcing excellent vineyard sites, practising organic or low-intervention vineyard work, and minimal cellar manipulation—few additives, native yeasts, older barrels when needed, and respect for site and grape. Their Bourgogne Aligoté 2022 shows this vision in action: clear-headed, true to place, and full of character.
