In just three vintages, Maffrei has gone from newcomers in La Morra to one of the most exciting producers I’ve tasted in Piedmont. Now, with the 2024 releases, Andrea and Stefano Mascarello have delivered their most confident and expressive wines yet.

These bottles have an energy that makes them immediately delicious, but also a depth that shows how much potential this domaine has for the future.

The Wines

Langhe Bianco 2024 (100% Chardonnay)
Mineral and electric, with just enough texture to keep every sip compelling. A Chardonnay that punches way above its appellation and feels like it’s already in mid-stride.

Langhe Dolcetto 2024
Vibrant, juicy red fruit with spice and lift. It’s playful and easy to drink, but with a polish that makes you pause and admire how good Dolcetto can be in the right hands.

Langhe Nebbiolo 2024
Perfumed, layered, and bright. This is Nebbiolo stripped of heaviness—full of energy and elegance, yet with enough structure to remind you it’s serious. Pure Piedmont soul in the glass.
