Description
The 2017 Domaine Clusel-Roch Les Schistes Cote-Rotie is a fine, elegant wine revealing quite a strong tannin structure. Relatively complex fragrances of black fruits, spices and violets. The wines at their peak unveil aromas of undergrowth and grilled tobacco.
Pair this wine with good quality grilled meat, a leg of lamb or duck.
"Deeply saturated ruby. Powerful, mineral-accented cherry and blackberry scents are complemented by hints of exotic spices, violet and licorice. Supple and broad on the palate, offering intense black and blue fruit, spicecake, salty olive and violet pastille flavors that become sweeter as the wine takes on air. The floral note carries strongly through the lively, mineral-tinged finish, which shows excellent clarity and smooth, slow-building tannins. Drinking window: 2024 - 2033." 93 AG
