Maison A&S Bourgogne Chardonnay 2022
Tasting Notes
Pale straw-gold in the glass, this 2022 Chardonnay opens with subtle white-flower and lemon-zest aromatics, then transitions to crisp apple and pear flesh with a hint of hazelnut and chalky minerality. On the palate it shows medium body with bright, guiding acidity, a creamy texture from gentle oak influence, and a long, clean finish with a whisper of saline and citrus-peel lift.
Why It’s Special
-
Though labelled under the regional “Bourgogne” appellation, this Chardonnay comes from carefully selected vineyard lots and bears the handiwork of a young, focused Burgundian team — delivering Burgundy character without the luxury mark-up.
-
Made by Maison A&S, a two-person partnership rooted in precision and sustainable viticulture: their low-intervention cellar work and thoughtful aging ensure you taste terroir and purity rather than heavy oak or manipulation.
-
For your boutique clientele this wine hits the sweet spot: polished and elegant yet accessible, ready to drink now, and with enough structure to evolve gracefully over the next 3-5 years.
-
A versatile white wine: perfect for serving with richer fish dishes, creamy pasta, roasted chicken with herbs, or simply enjoyed solo as a stylish aperitif.
About the Producer
Maison A&S was founded by Pierre-Alexandre Soltana and Alexandre Aires, two passionate young Burgundians who launched their project in 2018. They source excellent vineyard sites in Burgundy, farm with respect for the land, and apply minimalist cellar techniques: native yeasts, older barrels, no heavy oak imprint. Their mission: let the vineyard do the talking. The 2022 Bourgogne Chardonnay is a clear expression of that philosophy — elegant, expressive, and genuine.
