Description
Region: Germany
Appellation: Mosel
Type/Style: White Wine
Grapes: Riesling
Max Kilburg has emerged as one of the Mosel's most exciting young growers, producing Rieslings that combine the region's classic precision with a striking sense of energy and site expression. Goldtröpfchen is one of Germany's most celebrated vineyards, a steep, south-facing Grand Cru site overlooking the village of Piesport. Despite its warm exposure, the 2024 Goldtröpfchen remains remarkably focused and linear, offering notes of white peach, citrus oil, crushed herbs, wet stone, and slate-driven minerality. Bone dry and intensely structured, this is a Riesling that balances power with finesse. Already compelling today, it has the concentration and tension to evolve beautifully over the next decade.
