The nose of the 2021 Sílice Tinto is a textbook representation of the reds from the Sil, aromatic, perfumed, floral, expressive and open, and so is the juicy palate, with very fine tannins and balsamic flavors of wild berries and herbs, long and tasty. It was produced with 77% Mencía, 15% Garnacha Tintorera and the rest a mix of grapes, including some Merenzao and white varieties. It fermented with 30% full clusters and matured in a mixture of stainless steel, concrete and a 2,000-liter oak foudre with lees for 16 months. 7,500 bottles were produced. It was bottled in March 2023.
